What We Do

Wish Lists

Many cancer families arrive at the hospital and find themselves in need of basic resources.  Due to the pressing medical needs and immune suppressed condition of their child, they are isolated from the outside world and can remain hospitalized for several months at a time. Many families are reluctant to leave the hospital to run basic errands. We at Emmi Grace’s Angels understand firsthand the intense and heavy burden of living at a hospital and caring for a sick child. It is our hope that we can lift some of this burden.  We are, after all, stronger together.

In honor of Emmi Grace and the months she spent inpatient due to AT/RT brain cancer, Emmi Grace’s Angels would like to help families fighting cancer at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  We offer $25 towards any of the wish-list items.  At this time, we can afford $25 per week per family.

We will collect the wish lists on Mondays and get the items delivered by the end of the week.  However, we are able to get some items delivered same day.

We also understand that sometimes, these basic needs are met but a family may be in need elsewhere.  For this reason, we also offer the choice of providing a service in place of the $25 wish lists.  While we cannot guarantee these services, we can and will try to do our best!  Some examples of this may be: assistance with getting laundry cleaned, lawns mowed, electric bills paid, gas cards for travel.  Please let us know if these are services that could help your family.

If you have any questions, concerns, or special requests, please feel free to contact Monica@EmmiGracesAngels.org or call 813.846.7633

Cannonball Kids’ cancer (an amazing 501c3 dedicated to raising awareness and funds for pediatric cancer) donated $35,000 in Emmi Grace’s name to fund a trial for AT/RT.  For more information about Cannonball Kids’ cancer or to contribute to the “Emmi Grace fund”, please click here to visit their website.

Fall Stampede

Our first event as a group was the 5th Annual Fall Stampede benefitting the Children’s Cancer Center of Tampa. Our 25 member team was sponsored by Clark Martino, P.A., a Tampa law firm.

Toy Drive

Toys from Tyler (another spectacular organization dedicated to supporting families fighting pediatric cancer) was extremely helpful to the Angel family during Emmi Grace’s treatment.  They hold a toy drive every Christmas to benefit the children in treatment at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, where Emmi Grace’s received chemotherapy.  Their 2016 toy drive is in honor of Emmi Grace.  For more information about Toys from Tyler, please click here to visit their website.
